Italian Brew Association (‘Italian Brew’) is an unincorporated and non-profit association established in Edinburgh, Scotland. Italian Brew aims to raise the awareness of the Italian culture, lifestyle and habits in Scotland. Among its activities, Italian Brew organises and promotes Italian-related cultural events and festivals in Scotland, promotes the personal and professional connections between Italians and Scots and provides assistance to Italians moving to Scotland or Scots moving to Italy.
The following websites are operated by Italian Brew: www.professionalsinscotland.co.uk, www.vivereinedinburgh.co.uk and vivereinedinburgh.it. When you use or register on one of the Italian Brew operated websites, you are accepting to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Use and, additionally, you are accepting the Privacy Policy of these websites.
Italian Brew reserves the right to modify the present Term of Use and its Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on its websites and our registered users will be informed about the changes. If a user disagrees with the modified Terms of Use or Privacy Policy, the user will have the right to cancel their personal account and any other service provided by Italian Brew and, additionally, the user should stop using the Italian Brew websites.


As a condition to access and to use the Italian Brew websites and services you must agree to comply with the following obligations:
(i) To strictly observe and comply with the laws of the European Union, the United Kingdom and Scotland during the access and use of the websites;
(ii) To strictly observe the posting rules of the Italian Brew websites;
(iii) Do not publish or post, in any circumstances, threatening, harassing, abusive, defamatory, racist, immoral, obscene or indecent material;
(iv) Do not publish any false, misleading or malicious content, including advertisements or posts;
(v) Do not publish or post any spam, non-authorised advertisement or chain letters on the Italian Brew websites;
(vi) Do not publish or post any content on the Italian Brew websites that violates the rights of other persons, such as intellectual rights and contracts;
(vii) Do not try to access, under any circumstances, the Italian Brew databases, in special the databases containing personal information of the Italian Brew users;
(viii) Do not copy or reproduce articles posted in the Italian Brew Websites without the express authorisation of the author or the owner of the intellectual property;
(ix) Do not use, for commercial and non-commercial purposes, the logos, copyrights and trademarks of Italian Brew without being expressly authorised by the later; and
(x) Do not use any automated mechanism to view or collect information published in the Italian Brew websites, except if expressly authorised or for the purpose to use in world-wide-web search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing and other competitor engines.
In the case of breach of these obligations, Italian Brew has the right to suspend or cancel any user account or service provided to a registered user, as well to remove or delete without previous notice any content published or posted on its websites.


To create a personal account in one of the Italian Brew websites, you must be 16 years old or older. The personal details required during the account creation process are the minimum necessary to correctly establish your identity, to properly provide our services to you and to protect you and the other users of the Italian Brew websites against forged users and malicious activities. Consequently, the required fields must be completed with your real and accurate details and kept updated. We may contact you by phone or email before completing the account creation process to confirm your identity.
Your username account is for your personal use only and shall not be shared with other persons. You must take reasonable care to protect your password and to prevent unauthorised access to your account via any device that you have used. If you have reasons to believe that someone has accessed your account without authorization or is using your personal data to create a non-authorised account, you should inform Italian Brew as soon as possible using the contacts at the end of this Terms of Use.
During the process of creating the personal account, you will have the opportunity to opt-in to receive our periodical emails, offers and newsletters. You will have the possibility to change this choice at any time. However, Italian Brew reserves the right to contact you if it is necessary to resolve issues related to your account or to inform you about the services that you have subscribed.
Your personal account can be cancelled at any time, at your request. In this case, your personal details and all published content in our websites using your personal account will be removed from our websites within 30 days from the reception of your request. After 90 days of the cancellation, all the data of your cancelled personal account will be permanently deleted from our database. You can access our Privacy Police to obtain more detailed information on how Italian Brew store and protect your personal details.


If you create a personal account in one of the Italian Brew websites, you will have the right to contract the services provided by Italian Brew, such as the publishing your professional information to promote contact with other interested users of our websites. Some of these services are provided free, and other services may require the payment of a fee. If the service incurs a fee, you will be clearly informed about this before you have the opportunity to subscribe to the service. Our fees will always be quoted in Pounds Sterling, and they may be subject to change from time to time.
You may cancel the services at any time, provided you give a seven-day notice to Italian Brew, which can be made by email, phone or directly through our websites contact form. After seven days, Italian Brew will immediately stop charging you for any service that was not yet provided. If you have paid for a period longer than 30 days, you will be entitled to a refund, proportional to the remaining days already paid.
If a free service becomes subject to a fee, the registered users will be informed about that fact with at least 30 days in advance. During this time, the service will still be provided free of charge, and the registered user may opt to continue with the service after this period by making the respective payment. If the registered user fails to make the payment, Italian Brew will have the right to suspend the service provided to the user.
If you fail to pay for the service, Italian Brew has the right to immediately suspend the services provided to you up to the moment in which the payment is made.


Any content submitted, posted or published by you on the Italian Brew websites is done under a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive and indeterminate duration licence to use, reproduce and display the content. You are responsible for having all the necessary rights over the content published or post by you on our websites. You have the right to request the removal of any content provided or published by you, conditioned to a 60-day written notice; in this case, the relevant content will be removed from the website within the period of the notice. However, Italian Brew cannot be held responsible for not removing contents of difficult determination, such as short posts or content that does not have any identification of who is the original author. Italian Brew in no circumstances shall be held liable to pay any fees for the content, even after the notice of content removal has been given.


The Italian Brew team will use reasonable efforts to maintain a reliable service; however, Italian Brew cannot give any guarantee that their websites will operate continuously, without interruptions or be fault-free. Additionally, the websites may become unavailable with or without notice during maintenance or upgrades works.
All information provided by Italian Brew in its websites are intended for general interest and information purposes. Consequently, this information shall not be used as the only source of information to any commercial or personal decision-making. In a similar way, any content or information provided by the users of the Italian Brew websites to promote and advertise their professional or commercial businesses is their exclusive responsibility; the Italian Brew activities are limited to promote and facilitate the exchange of information among its users and does not intermediate any transactions between users.
We assume no responsibility for the content of websites linked to on our site. Such links should not be interpreted as an endorsement by us of those linked websites. We will not be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.


The websites operated by Italian Brew may contain links to third party websites that are not affiliated with us. We have no control over the websites of these third parties, and we do not guarantee or take responsibility for them. Additionally, the websites may contain advertising from third parties which Italian Brew cannot assume responsibility for any misleading or inaccurate information contained in them.


These terms and the other policies posted on Italian Brew websites constitute the entire agreement between Italian Brew and you, superseding any prior agreements.
This Agreement shall be governed and construed in all respects by the laws of Scotland, the United Kingdom and the European Union. If a dispute arises between you and Italian Brew, we strongly encourage you first to contact us directly to seek a resolution. If we do not manage to reach an amicable resolution, you agree that any claim or dispute you may have against Italian Brew must be resolved by the courts of Scotland.
If Italian Brew doesn’t enforce any particular provision of this Terms of Use, we are not waiving our right to do so later. If a court declares void any of these terms, the remaining terms will survive.
